Boudoir is stunning. I want to say that first and mean it. It’s empowering, it’s sexy, and for a lot of women it’s exactly the right thing.
But it’s one note.
Lingerie. A bed. A couch. Pose here, now arch there, now hang off the edge of the mattress. It’s a beautiful song – it’s just the same song, and it only knows one thing about you.
Because here’s what I actually believe: women are sexy doing everything.
Sexy is not a location
You are sexy on a slow Saturday morning in your underwear and a messy bun, coffee going cold on the counter, with dirt under your fingernails in your garden, running naked through the woods because nobody is out there and you finally have the nerve, and in lingerie that flatters and accentuates in the best ways possible.
Boudoir looks at one hour of your life. Embodiment looks at your whole femininity – the ordinary parts and the wild ones – and treats all of it as worth photographing.

More than a portrait session
This work does two things at once, and they seem like opposites.
It sculpts beauty out of the ordinary. The way you move through your own kitchen. The particular way your hair falls when you’ve stopped fixing it. The things you’ve never once thought of as photogenic because nobody has ever pointed a camera at them with intention.
And it pushes on your edges. Whatever it takes to get you a little freer in front of me – a concept that scares you slightly, a moment where you decide to go further than you planned, an outfit or an absence of one you’d never have chosen on your own. Freedom is usually just past the place you’d normally stop.
Some of this is soft and slow. Some of it is bold and loud. Most sessions are both.
It’s a little sacred, honestly
That’s the word I keep landing on. There is something sacred about a woman taking hours out of her life to be witnessed – not evaluated, not improved, not made presentable. Just witnessed, exactly as she is.
You don’t get much of that. Almost everything else you do is for someone: your work, your family, your partner, the version of yourself you present in public.
This is for no one but you.
That’s what makes it liberating instead of performative, and joyful instead of exacting. There’s no one to please in the frame. There’s nothing to earn. There’s just you, finding out what it feels like to be fully in your own body while someone pays close, generous attention.

Which one are you looking for?
If you want beautiful images to give to someone you love, book boudoir. It’s a real gift and there are photographers who do it with genuine artistry.
But if you’ve been reading this thinking I want more than lingerie on a bed – if the ordinary parts of your life feel like they deserve to be seen too, and some wilder part of you has been waiting for permission – that’s the work I do.
Let’s build something that’s actually about you.
