Inside My Intuitive, Unrushed Approach to Embodiment Photography
Some embodiment photography sessions unfold exactly as planned.
And then there are the ones that invite you to stay a little longer.
This late-night embodiment session took place in the comfort of her own home in St. Augustine, Florida. What began as a two-hour session gently unfolded into six- without force, without rushing, and without watching the clock.
That’s intentional.
How This Embodiment Session Began
I arrived with a loose vision and a few creative tools: a pink backdrop, soft white tulle for draping, and an openness to let the session evolve naturally. We created our first set in her kitchen- transforming an everyday space into something intimate and elevated.
She wore white lingerie layered with the detachable sleeves from her wedding dress, along with her wedding shoes and veil. These details weren’t chosen for aesthetics alone—they carried meaning. History. Emotion.
This is a core part of how I approach embodiment photography: we start with what matters to you.

Why I Photograph Embodiment Intuitively
As the evening went on, the energy shifted.
Music played. Peach wine was poured. Conversation flowed easily. The camera never felt intrusive- it became a quiet witness to the moment rather than something to perform for.
We changed outfits, and I introduced red lighting to explore a bolder, more sensual side of the session. The work became more expressive, playful, and confident- not because we planned it that way, but because it felt right.
This is how most of my embodiment sessions evolve.
I come prepared, but unattached.
Prepared with lighting, textures, and creative direction.
Unattached to forcing moments that don’t feel natural.

Why I Don’t Rush Embodiment Photography Sessions
Our original two hours passed without notice.
We didn’t stop because the time was up.
We stopped when the experience felt complete.
That’s because embodiment photography isn’t about rushing toward a result- it’s about creating space. Space for women to soften, to breathe, and to reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe, grounded, and supported.
The photographs matter.
But the experience always comes first.

Who Embodiment Photography Is For
This kind of work isn’t for everyone- and it isn’t meant to be.
Embodiment photography is for women who value presence over perfection. For women who want to feel something during their session, not just look a certain way. For women who understand that the most powerful images come from trust, time, and emotional safety.
Sometimes that means the plan changes.
Sometimes it means the session runs longer.
And sometimes it means trusting the night to unfold exactly as it’s meant to.
Those are always the sessions that stay with me the longest.
If you’re curious about what an embodiment session actually looks and feels like, I go deeper into that experience here: What An Embodiment Photography Session Is.
And if this approach resonates with you- if you’re drawn to experiences that are intentional, unrushed, and grounded in presence- you’re welcome to explore my embodiment photography work further or reach out to begin the conversation.
